MAHI WEISS is a Clinical Psychologist, and has been with MPS since 2018 providing therapeutic services to a variety of clients. Mahi has previous extensive experience working in correctional settings. This work was predominantly with older children, adolescents and young adults, addressing behavioural, mental health, substance misuse and interpersonal issues. Mahi currently works therapeutically with adults, children (aged 10 years and above) and couples. She is experienced in addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders and trauma. She uses behavioural, cognitive behavioural, mindfulness based and schema therapy interventions in a person-centred and strength-based manner. Mahi has an interest in trauma and regularly utilizes Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) in her practice. She further has an interest in treatment of alcohol and other drug use. Mahi is also experienced in providing forensic psychological reports for West Australian courts. Mahi is a skilled facilitator, and often provides training and workshops on topics relating to psychology and mental health, including anxiety, depression and mood disorders, trauma, and suicide prevention. Mahi is available in person at Fremantle and Safety Bay and via telehealth.
